For the first time, the U.S. Mint has issued both a reverse proof silver dime from Philadelphia and a proof silver dime from West Point. These coins are only available in this special silver coin set commemorating the 75th anniversary of the March of Dimes. The set also includes a 2015 March of Dimes Proof Silver Dollar. 

Both the dimes and the silver dollar feature portraits of the organization’s founder Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Perfect for any coin collector or as a gift, each coin is encapsulated and packaged in a black velvet clamshell case, outer box and sleeve. The certificate of authenticity includes history about the March of Dimes, along with coin design information and specifications.

About the Design:

2015 Roosevelt Dime Designs

• The obverse design depicts a portrait of President Roosevelt. The inscriptions are “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” “2015” and the respective mint mark (proof: W; reverse proof: P).

• The reverse design is a torch, an olive branch and an oak branch. The inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” and “ONE DIME.”

2015 March of Dimes Silver Dollar Designs

• The obverse (heads) design represents the past depicting President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Dr. Jonas Salk, two leaders in the fight against polio. The inscriptions are “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “2015.”

• The reverse (tails) design depicts a baby resting in the hand of a parent, representing the foundation’s dedication to the health of babies everywhere. The inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “$1,” “MARCH OF DIMES” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”

Coin design:

The reverse image by Canadian artist Celia Godkin features two sugar maple leaves. Pointing downward, the overlapping leaves are attached by their stems to a single twig at the top of the image. The leaves are engraved with careful precision using a variety of textures to lend depth to the image. The reverse is engraved with the words "CANADA", the date "2015" and the face value of "10 DOLLARS". The obverse design features the second obverse of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to appear on Canadian coinage in 1965, when she was 39 years old. Her Majesty wears a jeweled tiara and an elaborate gown. The effigy is encircled with the Latin legend "ELIZABETH II D. G. REGINA," which means "Elizabeth II, by the grace of God, Queen."
