Design
Each coin was designed by Canadian artist Pierre
Leduc. The mammal portrayed is shown in
its natural habitat. Framing the reverse
image is an outer band featuring the word "CANADA, the date "2013,
and the face value of "5 DOLLARS, as well as a small stylized symbol of
the subject mammal.
Packaging
Each
coin is encapsulated and accompanied by a serialized certificate of
authenticity. The wooden chest is lined with black flock with an insert that
can be lifted to prominently display the coins. Beneath the coin tray is space
to store the five Certificates of Authenticity, one for each coin. The chest is protected by a theme-colored
custom outer box, as shown in the photos.
